Having worked for many years in the pharmaceutical industry I have always been interested in mental health and wellbeing. In 2019 I decided to retrain as a counsellor alongside my full time role and really found my calling.

Exploring what clients are thinking and feeling and relating to them by showing warmth, and empathy are the cornerstones of my counselling process. With my clients I build a relationship of trust, confidentiality, and mutual respect. I offer unconditional acceptance, allowing you a safe space to work on what is troubling you and build awareness of your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

I have a private practice in Marlow, Buckinghamshire where I see clients. I also offer walk and talk or online sessions according to your preference.

It’s not about getting the feeling out of the mind, or hiding it, but about experiencing it with acceptance.

I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.

The curious paradox is that, when I accept myself as I am, then I can change.

It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried

Life, at its best, is a flowing, changing process in which nothing is fixed

Offering a quiet ear, considered questions and time and space for you. Whenever you feel ready

You’re wonderfully individual with very personal and unique experiences, which is why I’ll tailor my service to you.

It's not easy talking openly about yourself. I understand this can be a huge step for many people into the unknown. Making the decision to come to counselling you may feel vulnerable and anxious. I am here for you whenever you feel ready to say more about your issues, thoughts, feelings and behaviours and to explore them, free from any judgement in the counselling room together.

As a person-centred counsellor, I work honestly with care, sensitivity and respect. My aim is to develop a collaborative relationship with you based on trust and to provide a calm and private space for you to feel heard.

I want to understand your emotions, what’s going on in your life, how its affecting you and really know what its like to be you.

My approach is not about rescuing, helping or enabling you, it’s about understanding your own unique journey and movement and you are in charge of this.

To offer you the best experience, I have been awarded the following qualifications.
  • ABC Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

How we can get started.

I have a dedicated private practice in Marlow. From my quiet studio, I offer individual sessions on an open-ended basis, short or long term working both face to face and online.

Should you choose to go ahead with me, we will find a mutually convenient time for an initial 50-minute counselling session. In the first session we’ll explore the issues and concerns that have prompted you to contact me. We will then work together to agree how to help you to move forward, ideally, setting a few realistic goals if that works for you. I work flexibly so you can decide whether you need a single session or ongoing support on a short or long term basis.

Step 1

Complete the contact me form below

Step 2

Book your first 50 minute session in my Marlow studio or online.

Step 3

Open ended appointments. No lengthy commitment.

Please complete the form below and I will be in contact.

I’ll answer any questions you have, explain how I work & we can make sure we're a good fit before you decide.

No pressure, no obligation, no commitment.

A poem written by a previous client:

First off

I want to thank you

Thank you for listening to me

And hearing what I have to say

Thank you for being my guide

Supporting me all the way through

Thank you for putting your trust in me

Therefore I have trust in you

I'm glad I met you

And its a shame we don't have long left

I wish this relationship didn't have to end

But I have enjoyed our time together

And I promise it won't be forgotten

You're the best counsellor I have ever known

And maybe one day you will see my poetry up on a wall

Hanging with my name on it
